To complete your POS setup, you will need to connect your receipt printers and any other supported hardware. BIYO POS supports multiple printer types and integrates with kitchen printers, cashier printers, and customer display devices.

This step will guide you through adding a printer, assigning it to the terminal, and performing a test print.

1. Access the Printer Settings

BIYO POS can be accessed directly through the browser.

1. Go to Configure on the top menu, then select Printers.

2. Click + Add Printer to set up your first device.

How to find your printer’s IP

Most LAN printers print a self-test page showing their IP by holding the FEED button while turning the printer on.

2. Assign
Printer to a POS Terminal

Once the printer is saved:

1. Go to Configure on the top menu, then select Terminals.

2. Select the terminal you want to edit.

3. Under the Printer field, choose the printer you created, add the printer server IP, and then Save.

3. Test a Sample Print

After saving the printer:

1. Open the POS by clicking Open POS from the terminal list.

2. Add any product to the cart. At the bottom of the POS screen, click Print Check or Kitchen Print.

3. Verify that the printer:

  • Receives the order
  • Prints clearly
  • Matches the correct template

If nothing prints:

  • Confirm the printer and terminal are on the same network (for LAN).
  • Recheck the Local IP address.
  • Make sure the terminal has the correct printer assigned.
